The medias of the oligarchy

In France, the press and the news channels aren’t here to act as a counterpower, but instead to tell you what you should think.

From the onset, demonstrations against the “work law” were covered negatively, and the framing concerned the tiny number of people, armed with baseball bats, who jumped around all over the place and smashed everything in their way.

The press in France is heavily subsidized, and therefore “journalists” cannot beyond a certain limit that is define by the President, the Prime Minister, and others influential figures in the the government.

Questions are defined beforehand and thus reading or watching french news is pointless, unless if you want to know the position of the government on every subject.
